"Access to Campus was not explained at all in pre-visit correspondence. I rang the college several times to obtain dorections and the staff used terms familiar, I'm sure to students, staff and alumni, but not to me, and it took me 42 minutes tofrom entering campus by a rear gate to finding the accomodation office. It was night time and lighting overall was very poor. The room was cold and draughty and there was only one towel and no toiletries in the ensuite. The particular room itself was off a poorly lit courtyard and as a result I triped on a step. Not impressed at all" (107235976)
Good location
The reception office is hard to find, poor sign posting and staff presume everyone knows the university campus as well as they do. Access to the campus after midnight was very difficult, breakfast was very poor.

"Costs equivalent to a 3 star hotel in Dublin centre so would expect higher level of provision. But loved atmosphere and staff very pleasant, especially room service." (108096735)
Location, surroundings, quiet
Not set up to hotel standard. No mirror in room adjacent to a socket to blow dry hair. Reception couln't help.Very little equipment in kitchen despite being advertised as self-catering.Again student staff not trained to meet customers's requests .

Central & convenient reasonable value
almost impossible to find at the end of the campus, poor signs. Instructions given on the key ( pictorial diagram show dark strip facing left when it in fact it needs to be facing right)

"Honestly, I really don't have a complaint and would use this hotel again for my visit to Dublin. It was clean, friendly, inviting and cheap. What more could I ask for?" (97755353)
I like the fact that for a couple of days I didn't have to pay a huge rate. The hotel was clean and the staff very polite and friendly. I did not have breakfast because I am not a breakfast person, but I can't imagine it was anything but delicious. I love my stay there.
I dislike nothing about the hotel. The thing to keep in mind it is a student accommodation used in Summer as a reasonably priced getaway. For that how can you find any faults.

"Centrally located in Dublin Felt like going back to University Went in early July and there didnt seem to be many people around Only noted a few visitors staying there Should have had a go at the facilties there -15 euros a day Plenty of parking space A hidden gem!!!" (99964940)
Modern flat, next to the Health centre.Microwave, coffee making facilties
Bit far from the front gate, when this was closed early in the evening As this is a 40 acre site ,a bit more promient signage would be helpfull

"I really had to hunt for the mailbox. It would have been helpful to have been given a tour of the campus, and a list of the closest places to eat, and internet access. Each house should have a clock and telephone or at least an emergency line. The bathrooms were not as clean as they could be. Need to be renovated and painted. Missed not having a bathtub. The bedroom was clean, convenient, comfortable, and nicely furnished. Towels and bedding were very good." (3305123539)
It was centrally located, within walking distance of most things I wanted to see. Attractive campus. Economical.
In House 34 there was no electric kettle. As I do not know how to work gas stoves, I was unable to even make a cup of tea. There was no clock and no telephone, Lot of noise (sirens, cars, motorcycles)

"Generally, I couldn't have asked for too much more. The college has just about every amenity necessary for a budget traveler. Even on checkout, there's a place to store baggage that's not such a problem. Getting to and from the airport was very easy, too. With minimal research, one can find a seven-euro Airlink bus that does the trick." (3305155637)
You can't beat the price or the location. Staying on the Trinity campus was actually quite amazing. It's an experience I won't forget and would've never had if I had stayed in a more expensive hotel.
Just be ready to walk. Depending where you're located on campus, you can walk for upwards of 10 minutes after you arrive back home at the college. Also, obviously, there isn't a TV or radio in the room.

It was well situated, in the city centre.
It was difficult to move the suitcases around it, because the ground was very old.

"It did exactly what it said on the tin. A basic room (a bed, a sink and a chair), as student accomodation is, in the middle of the city. No frills but none expected with college rooms The showers were basic but worked. The other comment on this website about no hot water was not found to be true - If you ran the shower for 4-5 minutes the water eventually ran hot Breakfast was tea/cofee, fruit juice, cereal, three croissants/rolls with butter&jam, and fruit salad. Cooked breakfast available at a (small) cost, and the restaurant also did hot lunches, again at a very good price Book of Kells and the Dublin Experience is on site and as its so central you can easily pop back to your room during the day. Nice warm duvet and blanket, beds remade every day. If you`re looking for luxury hotels this is NOT the place but for a safe, secure (I left money cashcards etc in room) room in the most central location it can`t be beaten." (2739844)
Safe, warm and quiet
Showers could do with updating

"I've nothing more to add; it was a bit pricey, but I did get what I paid for." (2555229)
The location, obviously; no hassle with the usual hotel nonsense, no grinning reception desk, no intrusions from staff, no hokey offers, just a room and a bed and an impossibly good location.
The blankets were appalling; the bed too narrow; the hot water wasn't.

"This was staying in a 19th century Hall of Residence in Trinity College Dublin. Very good location, close to everything but with the cloistered calm of an old University. E55 is good value for B&B in central Dublin. Check in staff good, clear directions to room and a booklet of instructions. Room a bit bare; bed comfortable everything worked. Communal shower (lots of hot water)/bath/kitchinette - can cook light meals as well as make tea/coffee. Towel and bath mat supplied. Continetal breakfast available - did not sample." (2609151)
Central location, value for money, interesting surroundings.
Start Sunday breakfast at 07:30 rather than 08:00
